PV Connections Roof Seal Systems: Why choosing Quality Roof Seals is a big deal?
PV Connections Roof Seal Systems:
There are many obvious reasons why choosing a quality, long lasting products when installing solar is a must, especially so when it comes to roof seals. At PV Connections we understand the importance that roof seals have in protecting your clients’ assets. They have an important purpose and play an important role, that is stopping water entering the roof space after a penetration has been made to the roof. The penetration to the roof could come from either a pipe or electrical conduit being brought through, or even a TV antenna… Therefore, it is important to see why staying away from cheap/imitation products is necessary when it comes to solar installations as they can often require a number of roof penetrations, meaning more areas for potential water ingress.
When it comes to PV Connections mission, we are all about the quality and sourcing and supplying the products that will make your installations faster, safer and easier, and this applies to all the reasons for choosing our Roof Seal Systems:
20-year warranty
The roof seals we sell come with a 20-year warranty meaning that they will last longer than the average life of the solar system that you install. This is very important when it comes to reducing the faults or doing repairs that could have been caused by using cheap/imitation products that did not serve their main function, prevention of water ingress that would result in significant damages. You can be certain that our roof seals will not only outlive the solar system installed, but also any alternative product that may seem cheaper at purchase but will cost you more in long-term.
Withstands the harsh conditions of Australian weather
Using Australian made products, like our roof seals, that are designed and engineered for the Australian weather is critical to a quality long lasting system, because who knows Australian weather better than us Aussies? Australian weather conditions are harsh on solar products because the air can be hot, dry, and humid. Summers are hot in most of the country with average January maximum temperatures exceeding 30 °C over most of the mainland, except for high elevations. This can cause significant risk and cause deterioration to materials used to make cheaper products. We all know that cost saving at the expense of cost of manufacturing will severely impact the quality and durability. As a result, these materials may not withstand the heat and weather conditions and could easily perish when exposed to sun and elements over longer period.
BAL (Bushfire Attack Level) Certified Product
Unfortunately, we Aussies are very familiar with the destructive impacts of bushfires on our livelihood and infrastructure. We have all been either directly or indirectly impacted or heard devastating stories of survival or catastrophes that bushfires have caused in the past. If you are going to be building a new home within a BPA (bushfire prone areas), then you’ll need a BAL assessment. All new homes constructed in a BPA must be built to a minimum BAL 12.5 to help withstand ember attack. This includes sealing roofs, sealing around doors and windows and screening windows. Higher construction levels may be required as determined by the site BAL assessment. To reduce the severity of damage, we have ensured that our roof seals are BAL Certified which will aid the effort of withstanding ember attack on roofs ensuring they are sealed properly.
